Probably easiest way to check the fuel is when it dies, pull one of the fuel lines off the carbs and try and start it, watching for fuel to squirt out of the fuel line. Turned out it was the CDI when it got hot wouldn't advance the timing at all.ĭid you also replace the pulse line from the motor to the fuel pump? It could be getting warm and then collapsing causing the fuel pump to not work. I had one of those older twins that would idle fine when hot, but not rev up. If you let it sit and cool off then it will restart? Might be the CDI. You can check that by just cracking the cap open when it dies and see if it sucks air in.

Make sure your tank is venting correctly, if the tank vent is blocked then it will slowly pull a vacuum in the tank and stop the fuel flow. When it dies, have you checked to see if it has spark at that point? If you are a vendor/MFG and you want to offer an EXCLUSIVE "SnoWestOnline ONLY" promotion that is exclusive to snowest readers, please contact me and you'll be able to put it up in the Polaris forums.Īlso, before any vendors/mfgs get all "riled up" over this know that the moderators are strictly volunteers and do not receive a dime from any advertising $$ spent on this site.Īs ALWAYS, since DAY ONE of me becoming a moderator, I have pioneered, supported and encouraged vendors and mfgs in getting the word out to our readers with "New Product Announcements.įrom this point on, all vendors/mfg's promoting Pre-Season tiered sales programs, in the Polaris Forums, that are not paid advertisers will be appropriately moved to the swapmeet section of the forums. as a member, you are welcome to do that as long as you are not attached to the business of the vendor or Mfg.

If a members wants to become a group buy manager, maintain a thread and collect the funds and negotiate a group buy. Here is an example of a viable "Group Buy"Ī promotion that has the words "Group Buy" in the title is still a promotion, and from the rules that were handed down to me by Harris Publications is that non-advertisers cannot run promotions or open sales programs on the forums outside of the swapmeet. That member then uses those orders to negotiate a better price with the Vendor/Mfg for HIS/HER "Group" of buyers. 1994 bravo 250.no power.I've received emails and PM's asking me about "Group Buys" and promotions.Ī Group Buy here on would be a situation where a normal member (non vendor or mfg) personally collects orders from other members.does anyone have torque spes for a 2003 polaris x.2001 Edge XC SP Solenoid/Starter issue ?.Starter clicking on 93 yamaha venture 480.Cylinder Head Torque Spec and Carb Diagram 1992 PZ480.94 Polaris XCR 440 Coolant (Overheating). How do I increase the height of suspension on my 1.1998 Polaris Ultra Touring Temp gauge question. What year and cc is my polaris indy trail?.WTB: Polaris Indy 400 90 CDI box and 93 Indy Trail.Polaris Indy will not start after cleaning carbs!.10 CFR8 Diamond drive disassembly trouble. All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth.1979 artic cat jag 440 2 stroke spark issues.no power to Instrument panel or headlights.secondary clutch spinning, track locked.Out of Storage: 2000 700 SKS Liberty Twin - best p.85 Phazer carbs leaking from float bowl. Can a bad clutch or clutch adjustment cause this? Would low compression cause this problem?Ĥ. I have been thinking I'll have to do a top end on this machine one of these years, but compression was still equal in both cylinders and was running well before. If this is too lean, would it cause this problem. While cleaning the carbs I noticed that one pilot air jet was 1.5 turns out and the other was 1.25 turns out. Of course, any ideas on what this sounds like?Ģ. I'm thinking if it's just over 3/4 throttle, that points to main jets and when I cleaned the carbs they were fine, and I haven't changed any settings involving the needles or main jets.ġ. I will say that the bogging sounds different somehow from what it sounds like if it is flooding. If I slow back down to under 3/4 it runs fine again.

Now it will run fine until I get over 3/4 throttle, maybe even a little closer to full throttle, then it will bog down, power drops off. I changed the plugs and then it ran well, except for one thing. I put it together and it would start but ran very poorly. This winter before startup I pulled the carbs off and cleaned them up.

That was the last chance I had to ride or investigate until this winter. I managed to get it started again and limped home with no power. Quick background is at the end of last year, as I was riding it all of a sudden had no power and died.
